Do not let Bandits marry our daughters, parents cry out.
Parents of the students of Federal College of Forestry , Afaka, Kaduna have sent a save our soul message to all well meaning Nigerians and the Government of Kaduna State to save their abducted children ( the females) from being turned into emergency wives of the bandits.
The parents of the abductees while speaking through the spokesperson of the school’s PTA , Sanni Friday appealed to Nigerians and Government across board to speedily help with fund before the mean bandits begin to make real their threat of either marrying their daughters and putting them in the family way or killing them outrightly if their lumpsum demand of a fifty million Naira ransom is not paid.
The parents lamented that Kaduna State Government has refused to pay or dialogue with the insurgents Arrowhead who had reached out with their total demand of a five hundred million Naira bounty.
The fear is that the bandits in a video clip released had said if the concerned people do not comply time consciously, a time will come when their money if at all they brought it will not be useful as they would have killed all the males and shared the females among the bandits in their obscure hideout.
It will be recalled that Kaduna State Government has warned that it will prosecute any parents found negotiating with the bandits . However parents of the abducted students are becoming emotionally spent forces , willing to do anything to ensure the prompt release of their wards from the hideout of the bandits who they said can kill based on their hunches.
According to Malam Sanni, some of the parents can no longer eat or sleep and have lost their appetite as the only thing that can excite them for now is the safe return of their kids.
” We plead with Government and all well meaning Nigerians to ensure that our innocent children do not lose their lives In the bandits’ den and whatever means Government wants to indulge in actualizing the release of these abducted students, we plead with them to ensure that our children do not die,” Malam Sanni Friday pleaded.
On the 11th of March , 2021, armed bandits had broken into the premises of the College and had whisked away 39 students whose majority were females.
The bandits had released video clips of them afterwards beating and maltreating these students and thereafter , a ransom of five hundred million Naira was placed on their head .
