As Christians all over the world celebrate Easter today, The Regent of Ayeka Kingdom, Her Royal Highess Oluyemi Bajowa has congratulated Christians in Nigeria, particularly in Ayeka community, Ondo South for the successful completion of the Lenten season, culminating in the Passiontide and eventual resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Regent of Ayeka gave the charge in her Easter greetings and Press Statement, personally endorsed by her and made available to the press, a copy of which was obtained by thepolity.net

While saluting Christian faithful for the sacrifice and abstinence during the 40- days fasting, the wife of Gen. Olu Bajowa, Jagunmolu of Ikaleland and Ojagbulegun from the source, noted that ablution and the enduring spirit that saw them through the Lent is an indication of the need for Christians to continue to live the way of Christ , while they emulate values in the humility of Jesus Christ, who had to abandon His heavenly glory for the sake of a world messed up by sin.

The Regent said the earthly stride of Christ is a study in sacrifice, kindness, unrestrained generosity and divine philanthropy, who didn’t count it as too demanding to lay his life for humanity.

The UK trained Lawyer and business mogul turned Regent noted that part of the challenge faced in Nigeria is the lack of the willing spirit to support and help ourselves, denouncing self aggrandizement among the political class.

She said Jesus was crowned the king of the Jew at his crucifixion in an apparent manner to ridicule his divinity but was unfazed by human mockery, yet prayed to His father to forgive the ignorance of his detractors even at such excruciating pains he felt on the cross. Continuing, Regent of Ayeka said Jesus has attitude that doesn’t react and the fact that he wasn’t a reactionary leader is a value the political class should emulate.

Her Royal Highess Oluyemi stressed that as Christians celebrate the resurrection of Christ, they should embark on a soul searching journey to evaluate their life style and correct where necessary their life has not reflected the teaching of Jesus Christ.

While noting that there should be moderation in the Easter celebration, the Regent of Ayeka charged Christians to pray for Nigeria the more so that the economy can shift in the favor of the masses who had borne the brunt of the challenges of fuel subsidy removal.
