Ex TG, Boboye Akinnusi buried.

The remains of the former Tutor General, Teaching Service Commission Ondo South, Mr. Boboye Akinnusi has been laid to rest at his country home, Okitipupa on Saturday, the 14th May, 2021.

Prior to his committal at his residence, a funeral service was held for the deceased at First Baptist Church, Apata in Okitipupa. The church auditorium was filled to the brim as friends, colleagues in the teaching profession across Ondo State and family members gathered to pay their last respect to the first old student of Methodist High School, Okitipupa to become the Principal of the school.

In his sermon at the funeral service, Revd. Dr. Obateru, Conference President, Ondo State Baptiste Conference admonished the congregation to live everyday like it is their last , stressing that nobody knows when death will come.

The cleric noted that as christians , we should align our ways with God’s injunction and make our conduct draw people to Christ. While condoling with the family of the deceased , Dr. Obateru charged them to take solace in the fact that there is resurrection of the saint, noting that the Bible encourages Christians to always remember that those who live their lives according God’s injunction will be resurrected .

Major highlight of the service was the presentation of special numbers by the students of Methodist High School, Okitipupa as well as the members of the choir of First Baptist Church.

Guests were entertained at a reception held on the field of Methodist High School, Okitipupa.

Late Boboye Akinnusi was born 15th June, 1960 to the family of Late Chief Isaac Betiku Akinnusi and Madam Olanibiwa Akinnusi of Ojokodo Quarters . He began his teaching career in 1984 and rose through the ranks to the peak of his teaching career as School Principal and Administrator per excellence. In 2015 , he was posted to Methodist High School , Okitipupa as the first old student of the school to have emerged as the school Principal.

Ondo State Government appointed Late Akinnusi as Tutor General in 2019.

Late Boboye Akinnusi was a staunch member and prominent stakeholder of the First Baptist Church Apata, Okitipupa in his life time and he was survived by a wife , children and grandchildren
