Hon. Ikuedowo thanks Princess Odu, others over his victory

Hon. Kunle Ikuedowo, Councillor representing Okitipupa Ward 13 has described the Local Government election held in Ondo State on August 22nd as a benchmark of a most peaceful, free and fair poll in the history of Local Government Council election in Ondo State. He gave this indication while fielding questions from thepolity.net in the course of a media interactive session. The Councillor said Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has shown his avowed interest for a robust political development at the grassroots by setting the machinery in motion towards ensuring the success of the Local Government poll.
While thanking All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwarts in Okitipupa Local Government Area over the successful conduct of the poll and the overwhelming victory of APC at the poll, Hon. Ikuedowo specially singled out his leader, Princess Oladuni Odu, whom he described as the delectable Amazon of Ondo South Politics. Ikuedowo noted that Princess Odu’s presence as a grassroots mobiliser was felt across the local government , nay Ondo South Senatorial district in the course of the poll, hence the easy coasting to victory of all the APC Councillors as well as the Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship candidates of the party at the election.
It will be recalled that Princess Oladuni Odu is the Chairperson of Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), and the interventionist stride of the Board under her watch has been felt across Ondo State in the past three and half years of the first term of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, the Executive Governor of Ondo State, who is seeking a second term in the forthcoming Guber poll in Ondo State.
On his agenda as the Okitipupa Ward 13 Councillor, Hon . Kunle Ikuedowo said, he would work alongside other members of the Legislative arm of the Council to ensure the success of the Council Chair, Hon. Igbekele Akinrinwa, noting that what is paramount in his mind is the success of the third tier of government which Governor Akeredolu has allowed to run independently , adding that it is now that Local Government Administration has just been given a new lease of life by the “talk and do” Governor of The Sunshine State. Hon Ikuedowo noted that he will embark on massive youth empowerment and encourage skills acquisition among the youths of his ward. ” Those who are willing to learn a trade but are indigent will be assisted and we in The House will work out a legislative framework to support this lofty idea,” Ikuedowo said.
On the forthcoming Guber poll slated for October 10th, 2020, the Ward 13 Councillor has this to say, ” Gov. Akeredolu is the answer to the politics and further political and economic development of Ondo State; vote him!
” I implore our people to vote right and vote for continuity. Leaders of thought in the South like Mama Odu cannot lead us astray, so let us join hands together and ensure victory of the candidate that matters, that is Aketi, so that our zone too can stand to be counted as one of the zones that made the victory possible at the end of the day ,” he added.
