Primate Joshua Akintan celebrates sixth coronation anniversary.

The spiritual head of The Zion Gospellers Church, Okegbala National Headquarters ( Agbala Raphael), Primate Dr. Joshua Akintan Orogbemi, the Aarinade mimo ll, has marked the sixth year coronation anniversary of his inauguration as the Primate of the Zion Church, Okegbala.

The event held at the auditorium of the Zion Church on Sunday, the 6th September at Agbala Raphael in Okitipupa Local Government Area, Ondo South senatorial district.

Church members in their flowing snow white garments , well wishers and invited guests from far and near danced and celebrated with the Cleric in the four hour service which started 6 am and ended by 10 am.

Special anniversary numbers were rendered by the church choir while the Cherub and the Seraph units of the church were also on ground , providing sizzling effects to serenade the special anniversary programme.

Bishop of The First African Church, Igbokoda, Bishop Emoruwa who gave the sermon congratulated Primate Akintan Orogbemi and appreciated the Grace of God upon his life, describing him as a man of God who has continued to braze the trail at Agbala Raphael.

While quoting from the Book of Isiah, Bishop Emoruwa said, the Lord has made Primate Akintan a chosen generation and one whom He has called to serve him in his vineyard, noting that because it was God who has called the celebrant, it was easy for him to record quite obvious growth in the church since his commission as the Primate .

Bishop Ebiwonjumi charged Christian faithfuls to show concern for the things of the Lord more than things of this fleeting world, noting that it is better to serve in the House of God than to be in the company of the unrighteous.

Speaking in an exclusive chat with thepolity.net after the church service, Primate Dr
Akintan Orogbemi said he acknowledged the grace of God on his commission in the last six years, describing the journey so far as what only God could have made possible. He noted that Agbala Raphael is a Zionist Church no doubt, he has tried to allow the mode of worship that is flexible enough to accommodate modernization so that youths of the Zion Church background are not harvested away by the Pentecostal Churches, noting that much encouragement is given to the younger generation so that they don’t claim been schemed out in church programmes.

The Aarinade mimo ll of the Zion Gospellers Church said he cannot untie the shoe lace of his father, describing his father as a great man of God who was endowed with a very rare gift of seeing vision. He however maintained that through the special grace of God , he has been able to administer the flock of God at the Zion Church and while progress has been recorded so far, he pledged that more commendable development will continue to be recorded at Agbala Raphael , Okegbala.

The Ilaje born King of Zion music, Evangelist Debo Ojubuyi featured in the course of the service as special guest and provided Zionist gospel lyrics during the celebration thanksgiving session.
