All is now set for the 33rd council of Lay Presidents of the Methodist church Nigeria to be hosted by the Arch diocese of Igbobini , Methodist church cathedral Okitipupa in Ondo southern senatorial district.
While speaking on the preparedness of the Arch diocese to host the national programme, the arch diocesan President, Sir Dr. Ibukun Omotehinse said the gathering of men of God will bring favour to Ikale land.
The 33rd council which which will be declared opened by the Prelate, Methodist church Nigeria, His Eminence, Revd. Samuel Chukwuemeka Uche , has as its theme ” Methodist church Nigeria Lay Presidents, striving for peace and holiness”.
Dr. Omotehinse while talking with the polity.com.ng, said the Lay Presidents council is the body that represents the interest of the laity in Methodist church and the council meets to discuss, deliberate and pray over matters of interest to the church and the society. He noted that the arch diocese of Igbobini is ready to host all the great men of God across churches making up Methodist church in Nigeria, stressing that the gathering is a sign of good things coming the way of Okitipupa.
