Omoyele Olabode tasks Nigerians on Peace, says conflict in the Middle East should not escalate in Northern Nigeria.

An All Progressives Congress stalwart from Igbotako in Ondo South, Mr.Omoyele Olabode has called on Nigerians to sustain peaceful and mutual coexistence as only in a peaceful ambience can Nigerians enjoy dividends of Democracy.

Omoyele gave this indication in a chat with newsmen while reacting to the ongoing intercontinental disagreement between The United States of America and Iran in The Middle East.

He said the Iran/Israeli cum US war has affected the economy of the world adversely, stressing that it’s only the beginning of war that one knows as no one can be specific about when a war of such magnitude will end.

The business magnate cum politician noted that when world leaders cannot reach a truce, they go to war to show clout and exhibit the strength of their armament, yet when they have exhausted themselves engaging in avoidable wars, they will still meet up to negotiate an end to the war, therefore calling on the Northern Muslims not to heat up the polity with their open support for Iran as the war continues.

While noting that everyone has the fundamental right of expression, publicly associating and protesting over a war that has neither regional nor ideological bearing with Nigeria should not be encouraged, no matter the level of religious identity allegedly shared.

Omoyele noted that Nigeria is a secular State and President Bola Tinubu has continued to maintain this secularity where everyone has the freedom to practice their preferred religion, adding however that religious extremism under any shade has no place in Nigeria.

Omoyele said the Northern youths who are allegedly coming out to express their support for Iran should not drag Nigeria into a war that President Bola Tinubu’s international posture is not in support of, adding that as far as President Bola Tinubu is concerned, Nigeria is the center of the foreign policy of his administration.
