Olabode Omoyele hails rescue of Oyo kidnapped victims
All Progressives Congress,APC chieftain, Mr. Olabode Omoyele has expressed satisfaction over the eventual rescue of the children and teachers of Oriire community in Ogbomoso Local Govt Area of Oyo State.
News of their rescue was made available to newsmen by Friday noon.
In his prompt reaction to the rescue of Oriire kidnap victims, Olabode said it has finally brought a balm to calm the anxiety of distraught Nigerians over the sad saga.
“The past fifty days have been filled with anxiety for average Nigerians who daily go to sleep with the scary thought of the emotional challenge the children and their handlers were facing in the den of the unconscionable and reckless kidnappers. Nothing could be a more exciting news than the juicy story of their release from the den of the kidnappers,” Olabode stated.
“The government of President Bola Tinubu must be specially appreciated for the success of the collaborative operations of Nigerian security agencies in bringing back the Oriire abduction victims.
“Yes, critics have been unsparing with their remarks throughout the timeline of the stay of the victims at the kidnappers den but arm chair critics are best at knowing solution to social challenges from the comfort of their armchair.
“Pontificating at how security challenges must be resolved is one thing, it takes operatives of government who are in custody of raw intelligence to know the stealth and caution that must be deployed in a situation of children abduction by daredevil bandits who can afford to use these kids as defence wall to maneuver their escape. It is for this reason that we have to move beyond petty criticism to appreciating the genuine effort of the federal government in bringing back the Oriire children and their teachers in one piece,” Olabode stressed.
He noted that the effort of President Bola Tinubu in this matter must be specially saluted as this mass rescue underscored the political resolve of the APC led Federal government in stamping out traces of banditry in the South West,nay Nigeria.
Olabode noted that some blind points were raised immediately the children gained freedom to the effect that they had new clothes on and all that, wondering if such argument was necessary when the focal point should be the rehabilitation of the minors and their handlers and their reintegration into the society.
“Anyone who has his wards among the kidnapped minors will understand that reading the path of conspiracy theory is needless in this particular scenario. That the children were held in the forest for over 50 days is enough anguish and rather than major in whether they wore clean or worn clothes, the focus should be on the fact that government has eventually swung into military action and the collaborative effort of security interagency has yielded strong positive in the eventual rescue of the kidnap victims,” Olabode maintained.
He called on Nigerians to pray for a prompt emotional recovery of the victims of the Oriire abduction.
