Rt.Revd Joshua Ebunoluwa Ogunele , the Bishop of The Coastal Diocese who died early May 2019 has been buried . His burial programme which spanned a whole week peaked with the funeral service for his remains at the Ebenezer cathedral , Ilu Titun, Okitipupa Local Govt on Friday, the 7th of June , 2019.
At the church funeral, His Grace, the Primate of the church of Nigeria, Most Revd . Nicholas Okoh appreciated God for the life of the late Diocesan , whom he described as a staunch Evangelist in the church of Nigeria, Anglican communion.
He said Bishop Ogunele had run the race of faith with commitment of the Evangelists of old and has been gathered to his fathers, noting that the race is left for us to run so that when we are gathered from this plain we can have the rest assured hope of being gathered together with the saints above
A major highlight of the well attended funeral service was the inauguration of the Bishop Ebunoluwa Ogunele Evangelism Foundation in the coastal Diocese. According to the deceased daughter, the foundation will further the spread of Evangelism in the nooks and crannies of the Diocese and will further the dream of the late Bishop , which is the widening of the gospel of Jesus Christ across the lenght and breadth of Ikale Land and beyond.

Emotions rose at the committal which held within the precinct of the Ebenezer cathedral, Ilu Titun.
Among the dignitaries at the event were Ondo state Deputy Governor, Hon Agboola Ajayi, The Primate Most Revd Nicholas Okoh, Rt Revd. Ipinmoye, Rt Revd Borokini, Rt.Revd Showale, Rt. Revd Lasebikan, Rt.Revd Omotunde, Rt Revd. Orogbemi and a host of other Bishops of the Anglican communion. Others are Senator Bolu Kunlere, Senator elect Nicholas Tofowomo, Gen. Olu Bajowa, (Rtd) , Justice S Bola, Justice Ikujuni, Chief Olusola Oke ( SAN), Bar. Ebiseeni and a host of others.
Late Bishop Ebunoluwa Ogunele, who was a seasoned educationist, a disciplinarian per excellence and a priest of the most High God was the third Diocesan Bishop of the Diocese on the coast.
If death diminishes humanity, the demise of the Lord Bishop of the coastal Diocese , Late Rt Revd Joshua Ebunoluwa Ogunele is a great loss which the entire Diocese will sourly miss .
