Madam Alice Owogbo buried amidst encomiums

The remains of Madam Alice Owogbo has been committed to mother earth. The burial programme held at the Methodist Church Cathedral , Okitipupa on Thursday , the 21st May , 2020.

Earlier , the deceased had been laid in state at her residence at Apata in Okitipupa after which her remains was conveyed in a motorcade to the Methodist Church Cathedral.

Preaching at the funeral service, His Grace, Most Revd. Fayoyiwa , quoting copiously from the Book of Hebrews chapter 4, noted that christians need to work on earth for the final resting place in the hereafter. He stressed that we must all bear in mind that there is a final resting place when we eventually exit this earthly plain. He described Late Madam Owogbo as a committed house wife , a lover of her husband till death and a strong christian woman all through her life time.

The committal at the church grave side followed where the Arch bishop of the Archdiocese of Igbobini and his priests coordinated the dust to dust . The children of Mama Owogbo in their countenance showed they will greatly missed their darling mother.

Architect Kunle Owogbo while speaking with thepolity.net described his mother as an angel among humans and a mother per excellence whose milk of human kindness ran in her veins until her death.

In the opinion of the General Evangelist of CAC World wide, Evangelist Hesekiah Oladeji, Madam Alice Owogbo was not just a mother to her children but to everyone who came in contact with her. Evangelist Oladeji recommended the virtuous lifestyle of Madam Owogbo to all mothers, adding that she lived a fulfilling christian life.

Also speaking with thepolity.net, The Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Igbobini, Most.revd Fayoyiwa said Mrs. Owogbo was a parishioner who was loved by all because of her piety and her steadfastness as a wife who dotted on her husband , cared for her children and showed commitment to God’s work.

Late Madam Alice Owogbo is survived by Mrs. Fadeni, Architect Kunle Owogbo and an aged husband.
