Princess Odu confers with Akure South Head Teachers.

Ahead of the October 10th Governorship election in Ondo State, the Executive Chairman of Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Princess Oladunni Odu has conferred with Head Teachers of Primary schools in Akure South. The meeting held at Iro Mega school in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
while welcoming the SUBEB Chairperson and her entourage, the Education Secretary of Akure South, Mr. Isaac Adu congratulated Princess Odu for the success her board has recorded so far since she has assumed duty as the Board Chair of SUBEB. Mr. Adu said teachers in Akure South are aware of the positive impact her adminstrative policies have brought to bear on their welfare and their teaching career and they will not hesitate to return this good favour during the forthcoming Governorship election in Ondo State.
Hon. Tayo Fayanju revealed to the audience that in the spate of three and half years, Gov. Akeredolu has renovated 54 schools out of 91 public Primary schools in Akure; he added that before, the bar for Primary school teachers was level 14, but courtesy of the government of Akeredolu, he has executed the policy that now allows Primary school teachers to get to Level 16, as the new bar , a commendable stride, which the teachers must be grateful for.
Princess Odu while giving her remark said, in Yoruba Land , people always return good favour, thus , Governor Akeredolu has done the teachers of public Primary schools a good turn and it is appropriate they return the good turn with their votes on election day, 10th
October, 2020.
She assured the Head Teachers of government resolve to continue to be committed to the welfare of the teachers in the employ of the state government.
While speaking with thepolity.net on the fringe of the event, the Head Teacher of St. Patrick Primary school, Aponmu, Mr. Olumuyiwa Akinyemi thanked the SUBEB Board for returning Ondo State Primary School teachers to their place of pride as professional tutors and workers who can now hope to arrive at Level 16 , the peak grade just like every other civil servants in the other sectors of the state work force. Talking about the verifiable impact of SUBEB, he said his school is a beneficiary of the renovation exercise and he is delighted to identify with the government of Gov. Akeredolu.
Mrs. Oguniyi , the Head Teacher of Medayese Community Primary School, Akure while fielding questions from thepolity.net said SUBEB has deployed friendly policies , profitable policies and policies that have impacted not only the teachers but the pupils as well. She said even without being told by anyone, the primary school teachers in Ondo State are duty bound to vote for Governor Akeredolu in the October Governorship election. She however added that the teachers are more or less Oliver Twist and they will always ask for more of government supports in the area of workers welfare.
