Vote Akeredolu again, Princess Odu charges Akoko North East teachers

An appeal has gone to public Primary School teachers in Ikare, the headquarters of Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo State by the Chairperson of the Ondo state Universal Basic Education Board ( SUBEB) , Princess Barr. Catherine Oladunni
Odu to the effect that the teachers should vote for Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for the second term he is gunning for in the October 10th Guber poll in Ondo State.
The SUBEB Board Chair gave this charge today at the Mega School , Ikare Akoko in a special session top management executives of SUBEB had with Head Teachers of public Primary schools in Akoko North East.
In her chat with the Akoko Head Teachers, she said she is happy to identify with them and she is confident that they too will identify with her and the lofty agenda she has come to advertise to them. Talking about the brand she is advertising, Princess Odu said Gov. Akeredolu who has rebranded basic Primary education in Ondo State is her Governorship candidate and since he has done so well for the teachers she feels confident enough to bring his Candidacy to them at Ikare. She asked the teachers to show an attitude of gratitude to the amiable Governor of Ondo State by using their votes come October 10th to reelect him for second time so that the good works can continue.
Princess Odu said the teachers should not be swayed by rumours of fifth columnists who do not mean well for Ondo State, adding that the Governor of Ondo State has made all arrangement possible to ensure teachers have good welfare package that can stand them in a good stead among their peers.
She appreciated the Akoko teachers for giving her a rousing welcome when she arrived the Mega school , noting that it takes teachers whom government cater for to burst into dance and song at the arrival of SUBEB official.
While assuring the teachers that the two remaining arrears of their salary will be paid, she told them that those who are due for promotion will get their letter anytime soon as their promotion letters for 2020 have been signed. She asked the teachers to go all out to convince family and friends to vote for Gov. Akeredolu who has the magic wand to turn around Ondo State for the better.
Earlier, the full time Commissioners one and two of the SUBEB Board, Princess Funmi Brown and Hon. Tayo Fayanju, respectively have spoken highlighting reasons Gov. Akeredolu should win the Governorship election in Ondo State. Hon. Fayanju said Primary schools have benefitted from massive infrastructural turn around and Primary schools in Ondo State can no longer be described as dilapidated like it was few years back when a particular Government chose the mega school template which adopted the beautification of one or two Schools in an entire local government area to the exclusion of numerous Primary schools yearning for renovations in the land.
The NUT Chair Akoko North East, Pastor Ojuolape in his reaction thanked SUBEB profusely and appreciated the Board’s support for the public school teachers. He said the Government of Akeredolu has renovated classrooms in Ondo State and have been paying salaries regularly. He however appealed to the Government to pay the remaining two months arrears and the leave bonuses yet to be paid.
“I want to assure you ma that come October 10th , 2020, myself and my teacher colleagues shall vote for Gov. Akeredolu to return him for second term, Pastor Ojuolape said.
In his remark , Education Secretary of Akoko North East, Hon Oyeniyi Oseni thanked the SUBEB Chairperson and her Board members for convening the meeting and assured her boss on behalf of Primary School teachers of Akoko East that Governor Akeredolu’s four plus four will be confirmed as eight on election day.
