Another cabinet member resigns from Obaseki’s govt

Edo state Commissioner of Information , Mr. Paul Ohonbamu has tendered his resignation from Gov. Obaseki’s administration in Edo state.
Ohonbamu in his resignation letter stated that his resignation was for the greater good , expressing his appreciation for the opportunity to serve in Gov. Obaseki’s tour of duty as the Executive Governor of Edo state.
He noted that he was resigning his appointment as information commissioner because he felt he has contributed his fair share to the growth of his dear state and it was time for him to move to another sphere of his life.
In the past one month, it has been gales of resignation in the cabinet of Gov. Noseghese Obaseki starting with the resignation of Mr. Taiwo Akerele, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, who resigned April 15th, 2029. Other politically appointed personnel who had resigned are Mr. Emannuel Sule, Senior Special Adviser on Donor Agency and Solomon Okoduwa, Senior Special Adviser on Anti human trafficking and migration matters.
In a swift reaction to the resignation of the honourable commissioner of Information, Mr Stanley Efe has been appointed as the new commissioner of Information . Until his appointment , he was Public Relations Officer , National Psychiatric Hospital Usen, Edo state. Mr. Efe is a strong APC stakeholder from Egor Local Government Area, who contested for the Chairmanship of Egor LGA but stepped down in the interest of the party. His appointment takes effect immediately.
