Chris Ayebusiwa lauds INEC over Ondo South by-election

By Steve Ovirih.

Member Ondo State House of Assembly representing Okitipupa Constituency 1, Hon.Chris Ayebusiwa has described the Ondo South Senatorial by-election as an improvement on the election activities of the Electoral body.

The Ondo South Senate seat became vacant after the appointment of the immediate past Senator of the district, Senator Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim to the Ambassadorial seat as Nigeria’s permanent Representative to The United Nations.

After he has cast his vote at Polling Unit 11, Ward 2, Ilutitun (Okitipupa Constituency 1), Hon.Ayebusiwa fielding questions from thepolity.net noted that the process has been commendable so far across Ilutitun.

“Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has greatly improved on its beat and this I must say is laudable. The BVAS worked well and the INEC ad hoc staffs arrived to time for the exercise to commence to time. So, I think this is a commendable improvement because this by-election helps us to test run the level of preparedness of INEC for the 2027 General election,” Ayebusiwa stated.

He said the Security agents are on ground monitoring the election and so far the exercise have been peaceful, adding that the voters have come out as expected while others will still come before the voting exercise will end.
