Ekiti Assembly summons state, federal agencies over deplorable roads.

The Ekiti State House of Assembly has summoned state and federal agencies saddled with the responsibility of maintaining roads over deplorable condition of roads in the state.
This followed the adoption of a motion by the Majority Leader, Chief Gboyega Aribisogan on the deplorable condition of roads in the state.
Presenting the motion, Aribisogan called for an immediate remedial action.
He mentioned some of the roads to include Ado/Ikere/Akure Road, Aramoko/Igede/Itawure Road, Ikole/Ayedun/Omuo Road and Ado/Illawe/Igbara Odo Road, linking the state with other states in the country.
The House resolved to invite the state Ministry of work and Transport, Public works and other agencies concerned for explanation.
It also resolved to invite all federal agencies responsible for road rehabilitation and maintenance for explanation on why the roads were in deplorable shapes.
