FG gets ASUU’s 4 -day ultimatum over new salary regime.

The stage appears set for another round of labour dispute between University lecturers in Nigeria and Federal Government over the time zone for the commencement of a new salary structure which it has agreed to with the umbrella body of the University lecturers, Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.
In a statement made available to newsmen by the body’s nationally president, Dr.Pinuwa, the body might withdraw services if at the expiry of the ultimatum, government has not granted their request.
The body called on all well meaning Nigerians to prevail on those in government to activate the ASUU/ Federal Government agreement part of which is the activation of the new salary structure as seen in the memo of the agreement reached between the ivory tower union and Federal Government.
