I will restore peace, improve mining in Plateau – Atiku

Tamarauemi Ebimini

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has pledged to restore peace and improve mining activities in Plateau State if elected.

Atiku made the pledge on Tuesday at the PDP presidential rally in Jos, the state capital.

He also promised to reconstruct federal roads linking Plateau and other neighbouring states.

He said, “Despite the strategic position of Plateau State in the country, roads linking it with other parts of the country have become death traps and unmotorable.

He said: “We will construct all roads linking Plateau and other neighbouring states because the APC has failed to construct them.

“If the people of Plateau want peace, they should vote for PDP. We promise you that we will restore peace to Plateau”.

The presidential candidate said Plateau was renowned for its nice weather and ambience, a potential that could generate millions of dollars to benefit the people and the state’s economy if showcased.
