Ikale Socio-economic development Association (ISEDI) set to launch wealth creation initiative

A new economic development agenda is set to hit Ikaleland and when it is unveiled, it will mop off the street economic challenge and empowerment setback for the youth of Ikale nation. The project is branded ‘Ikale Socioeconomic Development Initiative (ISEDI)’.
The convener and initiator of the laudable business project, Comrade Patrick Orimisan Adelokiki who spoke with thepolity. net described the initiative as a development agenda and wealth creation programme geared towards engineering new solutions hinged on economic enhancing opportunities, capacity development for women and new sets of skill acquisition opportunities for the youths of the area.
Adelokiki noted that ISEDI is bothered about improving the lot of the people of Ikale who are managing under unfriendly economic condition by bringing up this initiative to enhance sustainable living for them.
According to Adelokiki, “this business projection that will eventually turn Ikale land to a commercial hub is going to be sustained in strategic collaboration with Government to address socioeconomic situation of our people through training, empowerment of the youths and the women population.
“Along the line as the business orientation introduced by ISEDI grows, we look forward to having Ikale Chamber of Commerce, Industry, (ICCI) and financial engineering institutions that will have the full participation of Ikale ‘who is who’ in Commerce and Industry. However, as we launch out, there will be recruitment through the ongoing registration process across the wards as members will be made to obtain the ISEDI-ICCI membership card, ” Adelokiki maintained.
Going forward, he said Ikale Socio Economic Development plan has as its vision a prosperous, secure and self reliant Ikale land where annexed resources will proactively generate jobs, wealth and dignity for all.
He also added that the business projection is led by association of traditional rulers,youth , women, professionals and Ikales in Diaspora. He said the funding for the Development plan will be derived from donations, community levies,business contributions, and partnership, stressing that the association will not be relying solely on government funding but will be opened to collaborative talks that can factor government as genuine partners towards the opening of Ikale to stronger economic development drive.
Among the key focus areas for ISEDI as highlighted by Comrade Patrick Adelokiki are Economy and jobs, people based skill acquisition and orientation, governance inclusivity and infrastructure advancement.
“Our target is to ensure that by 2035, poverty has drastically reduced to the barest minimum in Ikale land, while we are targeting job creation of 15,000 jobs and 80 percent infrastructure development drive with road network expansion and access to power as target.
“ISEDI has already started membership drive and interested members can join by aligning with individual town/Chapter platforms. I am using this medium to call on our people to come on board and join this train of growth of Ikale nation.
” There will be Ikale Economic Summit, which date will be announced across all media platforms as soon as the stakeholders have agreed on set date,” Adelokiki stressed.
Charging the people to step up their ambition at letting poverty to be booted out of people’s domestic economy, Adelokiki said, ” Ikale development is our collective responsibility.”
