Nasir El- Rufai arraigned over fraud related offenses .

Former Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Mallam Nasir El- Rufai is billed to be arraigned on a 10 count charge that border on corruption today.
The Independent Corrupt practices and related offences Commission, ICPC, will be requesting El-Rufai to account for a world bank loan worth over one million dollars which he got for Kaduna state as Executive Governor. According to ICPC report, a member of staff of the state government who is in the know of the loan , name withheld, has given useful information about the illegal development connecting El-Rufai to the loan.
The Commission returned El Rufai to Kaduna State to answer to the case under the State Court jurisdiction. It is said that the financial misconduct was perpetrated under his watch as Kaduna State Governor as superintendent by him. ICPC told newsmen that Rufai is being arraigned 48 hours ahead of the expiration of the valid court orders so case of unjust detain does not arise.
El Rufai, ICPC says, is being watched under tight security to prevent breakdown of law and order about his movement as seen during his arrival from Egypt through the Abuja wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport , the other time. Going further, IC PC says El Rufai was detained to effectively carry out investigations into the dossier of allegations the Commission has to deal with.In of the Suit, FHC/KD/73/2006, Mallam Nasir El- Rufai was charged with allegations of money laundry, illegal possession of public property among others.
