New DPO Okitipupa, Bolaji Abdullahi bemoans destruction of Police Station.

The newly posted Divisional Police Officer , Okitipupa Police Division, CSP Bolaji Abdullahi has expressed his displeasure over the high level of destruction visited upon public facilities particularly, the Okitipupa Divisional Police Office by ‘Endsars’ protesters who protested against the activities of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) late October last year. CSP Abdullahi expressed this view at the special send off ceremony organised for the immediate past DPO of Okitipupa, who has just been elevated to the post of an Assistant Commissioner of Police,Abiodun Alabi.

CSP Abdullahi in his remark at the event vowed to institute discipline among officers and men of his command , while assuring the people of Okitipupa of his commitment to a crime free Okitipupa Police Division.

The event was a huge celebration for ACP Alabi, who has worked as a DPO in 20 commands , the last one being Okitipupa Divisional Police before his elevation as an Assistant Commissioner of Police. The newly dressed ACP is a graduate of Micro Biology from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile – Ife, Osun State. He joined the force as a Cadet Inspector in the early nineties after his graduation from OAU, Ife.

A major highlight of the event was the ‘ call to dance’ of the celebrant by the Compere, Chief Femi Akerele.
Funmi Omo Dafidi, the highlife crooner serenaded the event with strings of danceable highlife melodies, bringing out the best of the dance steps of ACP. Abiodun Alabi.

While speaking with Thepolity.net, ACP. Alabi thanked all the guests who have graced the send off ceremony. On his advice to officers and men of Okitipupa command, he noted that diligence and commitment to work are the major requirements for success in the force.

Among the dignitaries at the event were the Jegun of Idepe Okitipupa, HRM Oba Adetoye Michael Obatuga, the Regent of Ayeka kingdom, HRH Princess Barr. Oluyemi Bajowa, the Olori Abodi of Ikaleland, Olori Grace Faduyile, Prince Babatunde Michael Ayeyowa, the Liha of Ayeka kingdom, Chairman Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Pastor Emmanuel Akinbohun, His Secretary, Mr. Amaluka Ezelobe and the PCRC Treasurer, Mr. Omoru Abraham (AB Plaza) among others.

Pastor Akinbohun, Chair of Okitipupa PCRC described ACP Alabi as a fine and refined gentleman who had a very warm relationship with the Police Community Relations Committee, Okitipupa during his tenure and noted that ACP. Alabai is a man of enviable and impeccable integrity. While congratulating him on his new promotion, he advised the officcer to continue to keep up with his good work, noting that the best is yet to come for him.
