Oba of Benin to Atiku: God will choose Nigeria’s next President

The Benin Monarch, Oba Ewuare II told the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Abubakar Atiku and members of his campaign team in his palace on Saturday that only God will decide who will become Nigeria’s next president.

The former Vice President was at the Palace of the monarch with members of the PDP to intimate him with his campaign in the state.

Oba Ewuare told the delegation that the Benin throne is still interceding to his forbears and God Almighty to select those he desires to lead Nigeria in the election.

He wished Atiku well in his bid to fulfill his campaign promises made to rescue Nigeria, and fulfill his campaign promises if he is given the mandate.

Earlier in his speech, Atiku described the Oba of Benin as one of the foremost fathers in Nigeria who has a lot to contribute to the smooth transition of the next democratic government.
