Oba, a serene Community in Anambra state has come alive with upbeat activities as the country home of the Billionaire business man and philanthropist, Obi Cubana has been playing host to the very top shots of the Nigerian social circle since Friday as Cubana’s mother’s burial revved in top gear.
In near by Asaba , hotels in the capital city of Delta State were all booked up by guests who had travelled far to witness the high octane burial.
Obi Cubana at the last count was able to raise over five hundred million naira as ‘ benefit’ from friends and business associates towards the grand funeral of his mother.
The people of Oba woke up Saturday morning to witness the largest turn out of guests and human traffic in the agrarian Oba Community in recent time. Flashy automobiles and wonders on wheels cruised into the town in a manner that made residents to assume if ‘ Mecca’ has been moved down to the quite community.
The casket in which Late Madam Obi was laid was put in the neighborhood of thirty million naira . Of note is the fact that cows to the tune of four hundred pieces had already been donated.
The reception and entertainment of guests atfer the classy interment of the deceased was segmented as the politicians had their corner, the business men circle had their corner and of course the hoi polloi also had their corner , a safe distance from where the money bags displayed their pronounced and superfluous riches in the way they splurged and sprinkled hard currencies of the world on Obi Cubana , his wife and children.
