Ogun APC Guber Consensus Candidate,Yayi arrives to a warm Red Chamber welcome

From the Red Chamber of The National Assembly, the hallowed Chamber of The Nigerian Senate has come a warm welcome for Ogun West Senator, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly branded ‘Yayi’ among his fans.
Yayi, a popular South West Politician and record breaker for making Senate seat both from Lagos and now Ogun State was recently adopted as the Consensus Candidate of The All Progressives Congress, APC in the coming Guber poll in Ogun State.
Senator Olamilekan Adeola, donning a white ‘Babariga’ was seen entering the National Assembly beaming with smiles as Parliamentary Staff Association gave him loud ovation and congratulatory remarks while presenting him with a Congratulatory card for his emergence as consensus candidate of the ruling APC in Ogun State without any dissenting voice within the party.
Senator Adeola who chatted with newsmen after plenary noted that it was congratulation galore for him from his Senator Colleagues as The Leadership of The Senate led by Senate President, Godswill Akpabio gave him a warm congratulatory handshake while offering him words of encouragement and assuring him of victory in the January 2027 General election where he will be the APC flag bearer in the race to ‘the Oke Mosan’ State House, Abeokuta.
Yayi also said his colleagues: Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, Senator Tokunbo Abiru,Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, Senator Adamu Ailero and others congratulated him warmly at plenary.
It will be recalled that Yayi’s hand was lifted in Abeokuta by Governor Dapo Abiodun as the Consensus Guber Candidate putting an end to month long speculations as to whether Yayi will enjoy the support of Gov. Dapo Abiodun.
Long before the unveiling of Yayi in Ogun State by the leadership of Ogun APC, reports have had it that Aso Rock has settled for Senator Adeola, Ogun, Senator Sharafadeen Ali, Oyo and Dr. Femi Hamzat , Lagos as the preferred candidates for the three South West states as the General election approaches.
Senator Olamilekan assured that effective representation for him at The Senate continues while his consultation across Ogun State will not reduce its tempo.
The Ogun West Senator stands shoulder tall among his peers in the area of sustaining social investments and bringing dividends of Democracy to the grassroots of Ogun State; of note is the support he has offered the youths of his Senatorial District in the pursuit of their academics putting down huge fund into foreign sponsorship for Masters Programme among the willing youths of Ogun State. He is intentional about empowerment beyond the tokenism of offering sewing machines, motorcycles and grinding machines as youths who have proven certificates have been assisted to getting career sustainability through federal government job offers.
