Olabode Omoyele salutes FG’s resolve on civil servants’ increment in allowances
Ondo South Politician and business tycoon, Mr.Olabode Omoyele has saluted the Federal Government’s new allowance increment policy and welfare benefits for civil servants.
News report has it that on Friday, Federal Government approved an increase in peculiar allowances and civil servants’ other welfare benefits.
Olabode in his reaction to the increment said The government of President Bola Tinubu has shown that the commitment to workers’welfare by the APC led administration is topnotch. He said Federal Government has shown that it is not unmindful of the economic challenges confronting the nation’s workforce,hence the thoughtful increase in workers’ allowances.
The Head of The Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, while announcing the development had noted that the increment affects staffs under the Consolidated Public Service salary structure ( CONPSS).
Olabode noted that All Progressives Congress, is out to make life easy for Nigerians, adding that the only thing the masses need is to continue to key into the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government.
He maintained that to encourage the Federal civil servants, the Duty Tour Allowance(DTA), among other allowances, has been considerably increased even as he applauded the fact that workers who will be attending seminars and conferences within Abuja will still be benefitting from Duty Tour allowance , stressing that this is one way of telling the workforce that location does not influence the allowance and distance does not benchmark wether one benefits or not.
As a business man who appreciates loyalty, Olabode noted that those who are valued by the system should show unalloyed loyalty to the system that has continued to put a distinct premium of value on their welfare.
On the chances of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the forthcoming 2027 General election, Olabode said the APC led Federal Government has acquitted itself creditably well and its commitment to Labour benefits, perks and incentives are just a tip of the iceberg and sign of better things to come for Nigerians in the area of welfare package policy.
