Olubadan is dead.

The Paramount ruler of Ibadan land, Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Lekan Balogun is dead.

Oba Lekan Balogun died after a brief illness at The University Teaching Hospital, UCH, Ibadan.

According to intimate family source, the elegant Ibadan Royalty joined his ancestors on Thursday, the 14th March , 2024.

Oba Lekan Balogun assumed the stool of Olubadan two years ago and he was a Royalty whose time was known for tranquility across Ibadan Land.

Gov. Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has described his demise as a huge loss to Ibadan Land as he was a father and a reliable counselor as a royal father.

while expressing his heartfelt condolences over the demise of the prominent Yoruba Royal father, Oyo State Governor prayed to God to grant the entire Balogun family the fortitude to bear the pains of his demise, adding that Oba Lekan Balogun has left behind a legacy of enduring leadership that will remain evergreen.
