Oluremi Tinubu at 66: She’s mother of the nation, beacon of hope — Olabode Omoyele

As First Lady marks birthday

First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu is adding a year, turning 66 with aplomb as encomiums have been pouring in from across the country.

Senator Tinubu, who was born on September 21, 1960, is a pastor, former First Lady of Lagos State and former three-term senator representing Lagos Central Senatorial District.

She is the founder of the New Era Foundation and convener of the Renewed Hope Initiative, RHI, her flagship intervention programme targeted at women, youths and the vulnerable.

An All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain in Ondo State and founder of the Olabode Humanitarian Foundation, OHF, Mr. Olabode Omoyele, has joined millions of Nigerians to celebrate the First Lady.

Olabode in a congratulatory message to the First Lady, described her as “mother of the nation and a beacon of hope and selfless service”.

In the statement issued in Lagos on Monday morning ,the Lagos-based real estate developer said Senator Tinubu’s life has been defined by compassion, humility and unwavering commitment to the upliftment of the less privileged.

According to him: “I, Olabode Omoyele, on behalf of my family and the Olabode Humanitarian Foundation, heartily felicitate with Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, on the occasion of her 66th birthday anniversary.

“Today, we celebrate not just a First Lady, but a mother, a pastor, a leader and a true humanitarian whose impact resonates from Lagos to the national stage.

“From her remarkable work as First Lady of Lagos State between 1999 and 2007, to her legislative exploits in the Senate between 2011 and 2023, and now through the Renewed Hope Initiative, she has consistently shown that power must be used to serve humanity.

“She is a pillar of strength to Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and a shining example to Nigerian women and youths. Her grace, dignity and deep faith in God continue to inspire a generation.”

Olabode Omoyele prayed for long life, good health and greater wisdom for the First Lady, noting that Nigeria needs her motherly counsel now more than ever as President Bola Tinubu steers the ship of the nation.

He called on Nigerians to support the First Lady’s RHI and the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda.
