Princess Oladunni Odu engages Primary school teachers at Idanre.

The meeting with the Head of Public Primary schools at Idanre which held at Methodist Mega Primary school had in attendance all head teachers of Public Primary schools in Idanre Local Government.
In his opening remark, the Education Secretary of Idanre, Hon Ojo Victor Alalabiaye thanked the teachers for coming . He said the SUBEB top notch have visited the teachers to talk about the good works of Aketi, the more reason the people of Idanre should vote him for second term. ” It is pleasant to note that Governor Akeredolu has renovated 71 schools in Idanre while adequate school lockers have been provided for pupils of Primary schools across Idanre Local Government.
” Another interesting thing is the input of Agriculture , a development that has turned schools like LA primary school to a school where pupils can rear snails and rear fishes like real farmers alongside their learning exercise in the classroom.” He saluted Gov. Akeredolu for his huge input in the basic education sector of Ondo State.
In his opinion on the need for “the next level” SUBEB Commissioner 2, Hon Tayo Fayanju said Governor Akeredolu has activated the next level agenda among teachers of public Primary schools by making it possible for them to reach the peak of their career as Grade Level 16 officers. He called on the teachers to keep faith with the ‘talk and do Governor of Ondo State on October 10th, 2020.
Princess Funmi Brown, SUBEB Commission 1 told Idanre teachers to show gratitude to Governor Akeredolu with their votes over the regular payments of their salary and their promotion which has been prompt and regular since Governor Akeredolu has come on board as Ondo State Governor.
While delivering her speech at the meeting with Idanre teachers, Chairman SUBEB, Princess Oladunni Odu observed that Idanre Local govt can boast of ample men in the public Primary schools, thanking the men for coming into the teaching profession.
“We have brought to you a product, a sellable product and a fine product you will be proud of. He is Arakunrin Odunayo Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the incumbent Governor of Ondo State and the forward looking Chief Executive who is running for second term as Ondo State Governor.
“I want you to gladly buy my product, Arakunrin Odunayo Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN). We have all seen the full impact of his first term and we are all convinced of a more fulfilling and promising second term. Ours do not support Mega School policy that can reduce the chances of pupils in the hinterlands and can lead to retrenchment of teachers. Governor Akeredolu believe in having so many schools in the local government; the neighborhood school idea projects the essence of basic education and not Mega School which for instance are just three in Idanre as against 71 schools that can contain a huge population of pupils of public Primary schools,” Princess Odu emphasized.
Princess Odu assured the teachers that their rewards is here on earth because their wards will do well in their life time.
The SUBEB Chair said while Governor Akeredolu met backlog of seven months salary on ground, he has paid five months and he will pay the remaining two months while leave bonuses too will be paid. ” I can assure you that the promotion of 668 teachers have been approved and you will soon get your promotion letters.
” 5314 teachers have so far been promoted and their promotion has attendant financial benefits. 441 inter-cadre transfer has been effected among teachers from the NCE grade to Degree cadre. 2000 teachers have also been trained on COVID 19 safety protocols across Ondo State, ” said Princess Odu.
She said it is unfortunate that some senior citizens who had retired in 2011 have not been paid their gratuity, adding that Ondo State Governor has promised to pay all the outstanding entitlements of the retirees. She said the Government of Gov Akeredolu has completed arrangement to recruit one thousand teachers into the primary schools, stressing that Gov. Akeredolu is poised to do much more in his second term.
Also speaking at the event, the Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Mr. Yemi Olowolabi, said the achievement of Governor Akeredolu has surpassed that of all his predecessors as major roads to Idanre are constructed by Gov. Akeredolu, maintaining that there is a strong partnership between the state and local government tier of government. He said under the watch of Gov. Akeredolu, a public private arrangement is in the offing to provide elevation that can ease movement on Idanre Hills , the major tourism attraction in Ondo State. He appealed to Idanre people to vote for Gov Akeredolu for these good works to continue.
The Chairman of Idanre Local govt Council, Prince Aroloye in his reaction first and foremost thanked the teachers who promised him a huge vote and fulfilled their promise, charging them to extend the same gesture to the Gov Akeredolu candidacy on October 10th, 2020.
