Prof. Faduyile congratulates Gov. Akeredolu over Supreme Court ruling.

– Steve Ovirih.

Ondo South APC strongman and academic per excellence, Prof. Adedayo Francis Faduyile has congratulated Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu over his deserving victory at the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court in a Wednesday afternoon ruling on the petition of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) Candidate in the October Gubernatorial poll in Ondo State, Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, threw away the petitioners prayer in a judgement which saw four of the seven Supreme Court Justices deliver their ruling on the subsisting matter and resolving that Gov. Akeredolu was duly elected as Ondo State Governor.

Prof. Faduyile, the immediate past National President, Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), said the Supreme Court ruling has finally rested the unnecessary distraction to governance in Ondo State, noting that the PDP simply wanted to rely on unfounded legal technicality to claim a victory that never swung their way.

The Prince of Abodi of Ikaleland stressed that it was a clear case of political subterfuge for a candidate whose victory did not spread across the state to assume that by hiding under technicalities of Law, he can browbeat the highest court in the land into gifting him a victory he could not procure at the polls.

While congratulating Governor Akeredolu, Dayo Faduyile said, ” Your Excellency sir, the Lord said unto my Lord, sit thou at my right hand until I make thine enemies thy foot stool,” apparently quoting from the Book of Psalm 110, verse 1.

The Professor of Pathology and Forensic Medicine maintained that now that the Supreme Court has resolved the case in favor of the incumbent Governor , all people of good conscience in Ondo State across party lines should join hand and support Governor Akeredolu in the business of taking Ondo State to greater heights.
