Retaining Shetima as VP reflects Tinubu’s sportmanship- Olabode

 

An All Progressives Congress chieftain and business magnate, Mr.Olabode Omoyele has saluted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing him as great political thinker while adding that he has enviable sportsmanship inclination.

 

Olabode gave this indication in his reaction to President Tinubu’s unveiling of his Vice Presidential candidate, retaining the incumbent VP, Alhaji Kashim Shetima.

 

As parties made effort to beat INEC’s election timeline, the All Progressives Congress,APC Presidential candidate instructed the name of his Vice Presidential candidate,Kashim Shetima be dispatched to INEC for loading on the election portal.

 

As this development generates reaction in the public, Mr.Olabode Omoyele who made his opinion known in a mutual chat with newsmen noted that Tinubu blocked off those who wanted cracks in the political flow in the Presidency, stressing that some people had wanted the President to drop off his Vice President over Muslim/Muslim ticket. He however maintained that same creed ticket does not in anyway hampar the workings of the Presidency in the first term ebbing out, so there is no way such idea should be canvassed as reason to drop a loyal Vice President.

 

Olabode also added that the proof of President Tinubu’s sportsmanship is reflected in his choice of Vice Presidential candidate ahead of the January,2027 General election, adding that Nigeria is safe with the Tinubu/Shetima’s joint ticket.
