September: Omoyele wishes Nigerians well, salutes Police over rescue of abducted corps members in Kogi
Public affairs commentator, Olabode Omoyele, has felicitated Nigerians as the month of September begins, urging citizens to embrace renewed hope, unity and productivity.
In a statement on Tuesday, Olabode also commended the Nigeria Police Force for the successful rescue of the remaining corps members who were abducted on the Kogi highway.
He said the operation was a testament to the commitment and gallantry of security operatives in tackling kidnapping along major highways.
“As we step into the month of September, I wish all Nigerians peace, safety and progress in their endeavours,” Olabode stated.
“I salute the Nigeria Police Force for their prompt response and bravery in securing the release of our corps members who were abducted on the Kogi highway. Their sacrifice reminds us that our men and women in uniform remain the first line of defence for the nation.”
He called for sustained intelligence gathering and better welfare for security personnel to ensure such incidents are prevented.
Olabode Omoyele further prayed for the quick recovery of the rescued corps members and urged Nigerians to support security agencies with timely information.
