Tinubu’s de-freeze order on Osun state account reflects patriotism- Olabode
All Progressives Congress,APC stalwart, Mr.Olabode Omoyele has rated President Bola Tinubu as enviable in his show of patriotism and sense of good judgement even as he described his Presidential order to Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC to return to court to vacate the order de-freezing Osun State Government account as the President playing a fatherly role and providing fair and equal political opportunity for Multi party survival.
Mr.Olabode Omoyele while giving this indication in the course of a media interview noted that if it were a taciturn President or a presidency that is disconnected from the trend of public opinion, the de -freeze order on Osun state account as procured by EFCC would stand and it would go a long way to discredit the ruling APC as a party muscling agency of State against an opposition state on ‘the eve’ of an important Guber poll, a measure that could have tainted the APC victory coming up Saturday August 15th, 2026.
Mr.Olabode noted that the resolve of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to speak up over the vexed Osun Account freezing matter reflects the patriarchy of President Bola Tinubu and his inclination as a great politician who does not suffer from political inferiority Complex, stressing that it takes a weakling of a ruling party to muscle institution of State against a party in opposition which is already feeling the air of electoral loss.
“It bodes negative air if when election is approximately a week away the anti graft commission goes to court to seek an order to frozen the account of a state in opposition which perhaps already nurses a silent fear of losing at the Guber poll.So, I salute President Bola Tinubu for dissociating himself from the action of the agency and whoever has motivated such action because the opposition will use that as a smear campaign and possibly impugn the victory of the ruling APC.
“We are confident in the leadership of the President whose action has just shown that while there is the place of politics, governance provides equal opportunity for parties to go to election without being psychologically blackmailed or emotionally traumatized by action which everyone would interpret as open and raw partisanship,” Olabode added.
