Troops kill three terrorists, rescue six in Sokoto

Troops of the Joint Task Force North West Operation HADARIN DAJI (OPHD) killed three terrorists and rescued six kidnapped victims at Bauni village in Sokoto.

The Nigeria Army in a statement said the offensive clearance operation took place on the 14th December, 2023 with the troops engaging the terrorists to a gun duel that lasted for several hours.

The terrorists abandon their hideouts and flee which leads to the rescue of the kidnapped victims and the death of the three terrorists.

The troops recovered two AK47 rifles, 19 Magazines and ammunition.

Also recovered from the terrorists are two dane guns, Motorcycles, radios (walkie-talkies) and other items.

Meanwhile, all terrorist enclaves discovered and recovered Motorcycles were destroyed instantly during the operation, the Army said.
