The Abodi of Ikaleland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba George Babatunde Faduyile has lend his voice to the call by eminent Nigerians to give peace a chance amidst the loud demand for a ten day protests tagged ‘ Days of rage’ by some aggrieved group of Nigerians over the hardship in the country.

The eminent Royal father gave this charge in an official press statement issued at the palace of Abodi earlier today, a copy of which was made available to thepolity.net

Oba Faduyile noted that the economic challenge confronting Nigeria is a result of years of pillage and wrong misdirection by previous governments , noting that the policies being executed by President Bola Tinubu ( PBAT) , though harsh as of now, is poised towards an economic recovery that will put the nation back on its feet.

Oba Faduyile who maintained that protest is a right of the people in a Democracy however doubted the genuineness of the planned protest even as he pointed out that the last nation wide protest in Nigeria tagged #endsars# ended in wanton destruction of public facilities , looting and avoidable brigandage, stressing that the chances are high that the August protest is susceptible to being hijacked by fifth columnists , who may use it to demarket the Tinubu administration.

He said the youths of Nigeria should shun protest of any guise that could turn them into puppets in the hands of those who do not mean well for the country.

Oba Faduyile stated categorically that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu means well for Nigeria and his economic policies will wean the nation of waste and profligacy which has characterized past administrations before him.

The monarch appealed to the youths of Ikaleland not to take laws into their hands andm not be goaded into another orgy of violence and destruction even as he stated that it took the painstaking efforts of eminent Ikale stakeholders both home and abroad to facilitate the repairs of government property that were destroyed during the ill fated Endsars protest.

Oba G.B Faduyile congratulated Nigerians for seeing the month of August , while asking them to endeavour to make August a month of peace and tranquility.
