Ikale elite team on Medical City Project confers with Senator Faduyile
By Steve Ovirih.
In its bid to attract support and consolidate
deliberations on the actualization of development concepts, an Ikale elite team, Sunshine Medical City Project (SMCP) has paid a courtesy visit to Ondo South Senator, Distinguished Senator Prof.Dayo Faduyile OON at The National Assembly Complex on Monday 19th October.
The team was led by the Board of Trustees (BOT) Chairman, Chief Akin Arikawe,OON and Project Convener, Prince Patrick Orimisan Adelokiki.
Mr.Orimisan Adelokiki who spoke on the Sunshine Medical City Project said it’s a huge concept which will complement government efforts in the area of providing medical services for the people of the Sunshine State.
In his reaction Senator Faduyile thanked Chief Arikawe, whom he described as a senior citizen and elder state man who is supportive of Ikale development. Thanking Adelokiki for his pet project, Sunshine Medical City, Faduyile however noted that building huge medical facility is one thing, tendering it as enduring legacy is another thing and this requires very serious consideration, stressing that more often than not Government backing and partnership is necessary for the success of such lofty ideal. ” Let me appreciate you for this lofty idea. Chief Arikawe is a well respected Ikale stakeholder and I am happy that even as a senior citizen, he is still very passionate about development of Ikale land. I have listened to the presentation made by Mr.Adelokiki. However, permit me to add that huge medical facilities require huge funding, huge logistics to sustain and in most cases it takes government patronage for unrestrained sustainability,” Senator Faduyile stressed.
Senator Faduyile assured the team of his commitment to ensuring that either a Federal Medical Center or a University of Health Sciences is brought to Ondo South in the course of the 10th Senate.
