Faduyile felicitates Remi Tinubu at 66, hails First Lady’s legacy of service

Ondo South Senator, Prof. Adedayo Faduyile,OON, has felicitated the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on the occasion of her 66th birthday.
In a congratulatory message issued on Monday as obtained by thepolity.net, Senator Faduyile described the First Lady as a mother of the nation, a quintessential leader and a symbol of compassion whose life has been defined by service to humanity.
Born on September 21, 1960, in Ogun State, Senator Tinubu, who is marking her 66th birthday today, served as First Lady of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007 and later as Senator representing Lagos Central Senatorial District from 2011 to 2023.
Faduyile said the First Lady’s journey from the classroom to the Senate and now to the State House exemplifies grace, resilience and purposeful leadership.
“On behalf of my family, the good people of Ondo South Senatorial District and the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, I heartily rejoice with Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, on the occasion of her 66th birthday,” the statement read.
“Her Excellency is not just the wife of Mr President; she is a patriot, an educationist, a pastor and a distinguished former colleague in the Red Chamber whose record of three consecutive terms in the Senate remains a benchmark for women in leadership.”
The Ondo South lawmaker lauded the First Lady’s interventions through the New Era Foundation and the Renewed Hope Initiative, noting that her programmes on women empowerment, youth skills acquisition, education support and healthcare delivery have impacted millions of vulnerable Nigerians across party and regional lines.
Faduyile, a former National President of the Nigerian Medical Association, particularly commended Senator Tinubu’s dedication to education, recalling her decision last year to dedicate her 65th birthday to raising funds for the completion of the National Library headquarters in Abuja.
“At 66, our First Lady continues to inspire with uncommon humility, discipline and motherly love for the nation. Her philanthropy is targeted, her faith is deep and her commitment to nation-building is unwavering,” he added.
He prayed for long life, sound health and renewed strength for the First Lady as she continues to support President Bola Tinubu in delivering the Renewed Hope agenda for Nigerians.
“I pray that God Almighty will continue to preserve her, grant her more wisdom and cause her joy to be full in the years ahead,” Faduyile stated.
