A murder suspect alleged of complicity in the death of Late Mrs . Funke Olakunrin, Pa Fasoranti’s daughter, who had contracted Coronavirus and was in isolation in Akure, the Ondo state capital, had made a frantic attempt to run away from the isolation center.
The murder suspect, Adamu Adamu’s escape bid however failed as he landed in the hands of security men manning the perimeter of the Isolation center.
Not long after his arrest, he had shown symptoms of coronavirus and was promptly taken to the Isolation center after his blood sample had been taken and tested.
His escape would have frustrated the prosecution of the murder of Late Mrs Olakunrin whose murder along Lagos /Ore road last year heightened suspicion and accusation between the Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere and some norther elite.
Ondo state Commissioner of Police, Undia Undie has ordered the beefing up of security around the isolation center while the suspect was asked to be handcuffed until he is able to join the rest of his squad in detention.
