Gov Akeredolu appoints Princess Odu as SSG

Princess Catherine Oladunni Odu , former Chairman of Ondo State Universal Basic Education (SUBEB) has been appointed as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG) by Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu.

In a press statement credited to the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Richard Olatunde, Governor Akeredolu said Princess Odu’s appointment is a proof of her doggedness and the commendable achievements recorded under her watch while she held sway at SUBEB. The statement further noted that Princess Catherine Odu will be bringing her wealth of experience to bear on her new office having served at different times both as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Education in Ondo State, stressing that Princess Odu is endowed with the wherewithal required of the occupier of such a strategic position.

It will be recalled that Princess Oladunni Odu, a Barrister was formerly a Federal Commissioner at the Public Complaints Commission in Abuja.

Prior to her recent elevation to the post of the scribe to the Ondo State Government, Princess Odu managed the state SUBEB and her strides in the office will require a great effort to surpass in years to come.

While congratulating and wishing her well in her new position, Governor Akeredolu charged her to ensure that she raised the bar of good governance in her new tour of duty as the Secretary to the State Government.

Her swearing – in comes up at the Cocoa Conference Hall , Government House, Alagbaka, Akure, the Ondo State capital on Monda, the 22nd March.

Princess Odu, an APC leader in Ondo South, nay Okitipupa Local Government Council is a stakeholder whose wealth of experience as a grassroots mobiliser buoyed the chances of victory of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last Governorship poll in Ondo State.
