All Progressives Congress ( APC) chieftain in Ondo South Senatorial District, Prof. Adedayo Faduyile has expressed his delight over the cheery news of the appointment of Princess Barr. Oladunni Odu as the Secretary to the Ondo State Government ( SSG).
Governor Akeredolu had announced through his Chief Press Secretary , Richard Olatunde, the appointment of Princess Odu as the Secretary to the State Government on Wednesday, the 17th March, 2021.
Prof. Faduyile, who coordinated the campaign for Governor Akeredolu’s second term bid as Deputy Director General Ondo South, said the appointment of Princess Odu confirms Governor Akeredolu’s support for the affirmative action in support of active women participation in governance.
In a statement personally signed by Prof. Faduyile and made available to thepolity.net, he congratulated the new SSG whom he described as an Amazon and an achiever who has done Ikale nation proud by her enviable records.
” I congratulate Princess Odu on her elevation to the post of the Secretary to the State Government. She is a well equipped Technocrat who is well suited for the job. Her reputation precedes her and we can rest assure that she will break new records in this lofty position she has been appointed to.
” As an Ikale Prince, I am proud to say out of my clan had come the first female Secretary to the Government of Ondo State and the second female secretary to the Government in the entire South West Nigeria.
