Ekiti residents condemn 56 million expenditure on LG headquarters beautification by Fayose.

Residents of Ekiti state have once again taken a swipe at the white elephant projects which they claimed have become the priority of the Governor Ayo Fayose administration in the state. One of such which has raised a serious protestation lately is the 56 million naira claimed by the government to have been spent on the beautification of all the local government headquarters in the state at yuletide. While the state government claimed the beautification project was executed at that huge amount, residents of the state alleged that the project was needless, wasteful and an attempt to hoodwink the state into believing the government was working, yet there was nothing concrete to show for such huge wastage.
The people of the state advised the government of Ekiti to take seriously the welfare of the Civil servants and pensioners who are wallowing in abject poverty, while the government embarks on a series of white elephant projects that have no bearing on the the plight and challenges of the people of the state .
