The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari who is convalescing in London has said he has learnt to obey orders now and he doesn’t give orders anymore as long as it has to do with his health, adding that though he has recovered well from his health challenge, he doesn’t give orders on when he will return home, rather his Doctors’ orders on when he will return home is what he will obey. President Buhari made this clarification at The Nigeria House , London when the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Muhammed led the Presidential media aids on a visit to the President who had left Nigeria since May 7th of this year.

The visit by the media aids is one out of the many visits by officials in the Presidency and other key stakeholders of this administration to douse the rumors making the rounds that the President’s health has deteriorated. The President in a “photo op” was in a steady gait and pace , exchanging banters with his visitors at the foyer of Nigeria House in United kingdom.

President Muhammadu Buhari appreciated the prayers of Nigerians and African leaders for his quick recovery and noted that the country’s involvement in the peace deal in Gambia earlier in the year attracted global applause. He also saluted the steadfastness of Nigerian print and electronic media in bringing him up to speed on political development back at home. He said he was aware of the aspersion cast on his person by some Nigerian politicians but he is not moved by such negative opinion.

It will be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari transmitted power of the Presidency to his vice, Prof.Yemi Osinbajo ,who has been acting in the capacity of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigera in the past three months. Meanwhile, a group of anti Buhari protesters have been staging a consistent protest in Abuja , demanding that President Buhari should either return home to take charge of his responsibility in the Presidency, for which he was elected to a four year term, or resign if he no longer has the strength to continue.

Barring any unforseen circumstances, the president is expected in the country any time soon.
