The Abodi of Ikaleland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba George Babatunde Faduyile, from his palace at Ikoya, the cradle of Ikale, in Ondo South Senatorial district has expressed his good wishes to his subjects as the new year begins

Oba Faduyile in a statement he personally signed at the palace, congratulated the good people of Ikoya and the entire Ikaleland for the grace of God which has sustained them all through year 2020 and has made it possible for them to see the dawn of a brand new year.

The revered royal father noted that the out gone year 2020 witnessed unprecedented crisis from the Coronavirus pandemic in March all through August and the unfortunate EndSARS protest in October as well as the slide into economic recession later in November, adding that surviving such a turbulent year could only have been possible by the grace of God.

He encouraged the people to continue to trust God as his love and compassion for those who trust him never fails.

On his outlook for year 2021, Oba Faduyile said , 2021 will be a better year in all ramifications, adding that everyone should support the Government of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu as he commences the second term of his administration.

Oba Faduyile noted that the economic outlook of the nation requires the input of experts who can think outside the box to restore it from the dire strait of recession which it has fallen into second time in five years.

The first class traditional ruler charged Nigerians to continue to pray for our leaders, adding that if we trust God more as a nation and have faith in the need to consolidate on the Nigerian project the wobbling economy will look up again.

On security
challenges threatening the country, Oba Faduyile noted that it was an unfortunate development and the West African sub region, not only Nigeria is affected by this challenge. He said the kidnapping of the school children at Kankara in Katsina state and other incidences of insurgency and banditry is a course for concern. He however advised the people in the affected areas to work hand in hand with Government so that with sound and very correct intelligence gathering approach, the new trend of threat to communal peace in the affected areas can be nipped in the board.

Kabiesi wished his people a happy and prosperous 2021, charging them
to be their brother’s keeper in the new year.
