Birthday bell has jingled once again for a grand royalty , Paramount ruler and Abodi of Ikaleland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba George Babatunde Faduyile.
Oba Faduyile, climbing gradually the Octogenarian ladder has turned 85 in good health , a development that calls for gratitude to God Almighty.
The retired cerebral school Administrator turned revered Ikale monarch has reigned at Ikoya the cradle of Ikaleland for decades and his reign has continued to attract development to his domain, while tremendous peace has been enjoyed in the town under his watch.
Oba Faduyile has been a strong voice for the emancipation of Yoruba and has always supported moves to put the Southwest in its pride of place in Nigeria.
A lover of orthodox music, the Abodi of Ikale is a choir master and interestingly, he still finds time to for this genre of music .
Oba Faduyile supports growth and progress of Ikaleland and it was no surprise that during his visit to United States, his clamour among the Nigerians in Diaspora of Ikale extraction was for them to return home and buoy the economy of their homestead by investing heavily in ventures that will engender the economic growth of Ikaleland.
Meanwhile Prof. Dayo Faduyile,OON , heir apparent to Abodi and Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Health has congratulated his father on the occasion of the monarch’s 85th birthday anniversary.
While commenting on Abodi’s special day, Prof Faduyile, going down memory lane, said his father has been a disciplinarian since he knew him and his tutelage has been a very firm model that he and his siblings had enjoyed.
He said Abodi remains his best model not only because he is His father, but because he is a frank observer who doesn’t mince his words and doesn’t hide his opinion.
Faduyile prayed God to continue to keep Abodi in good health, bless him with longlife and make his reign to continue attract peace and development.
In a telephone conversation with Prince Dokun Faduyile, who called from his base in United States, he said Oba Faduyile is a quintessential father figure and an iconic persona , stressing that he is happy to have been sired by Abodi, whose unblemished reign in Ikaleland is a thing of pride not just to the stool but to the entire Ikale nation.
He said Oba Abodi is not just to him a father, but a closest confidant and
a no- nonsense personality that says what he means and means what he says.
Prince Faduyile prayed many more years in good health for Oba George Faduyile.
