Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has moved into the newly rehabilitated Government House in Osogbo, capital of the state. A statement by the governor’s Spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, yesterday, revealed that Adeleke opened the edifice in presence of top officials and dignitaries.

The governor, alongside dignitaries, inspected the facilities, conducted prayers and commissioned the upgraded Oke-Fia Government House. According to the statement, the rehabilitation covers the main house, the completion of an abandoned multi-bedroom Guest House, remodeling of many of the structures, refixing of many derelict facilities and facelift of the entire Government House.

Accompanied by the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi; the House Speaker, Adewale Egbedun; the Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye; the Chief of Staff, Hon Kazeem Akinleye and members of the State Executive Council, Governor Adeleke officially moved into the Government House amidst prayers.

A traditional ruler in the state, the Orangun of Oke Ila, Oba Dokun Abolarin was also present to give royal blessings. Clerics across the faiths were on ground to offer prayers and bless the House while top leaders presented goodwill messages.

Addressing the dignitaries in a short programme, the Governor said his administration is committed to upgrading state assets irrespective of whether such programmes are inherited or commenced by him. Recall that Adeleke had since the inception of his administration in November, 2022, been staying at his country home in Ede.
