The remains of Iya Ijo of Holy Cross Church of Cherubim & Seraphim Lebi Okitipupa, Late Lady Leader Mofeola Philip, nee Clement has been laid to rest.
Mama Mofeola’s interment at her residence along Ikoya Road ,Okitipupa, was preceded by an open air funeral program which held at the field of Police Children School, Okitipupa as coordinated by the clergy and choir of The Holy Cross Church of Cherubim and Seraphim church, Nigeria, Lebi, Okitipupa.
Most Special Apostle Akinjiyan in his sermon charged those left behind by Mama Mofeola Philip not to despair as their departed mother has gone to rest in a better place devoid of the challenges of this world. He called on the congregation to strive to make heaven when it will be their turn to leave this world , noting that the joy and peace of paradise for Christians is worth working towards in this world. He congratulated the children for surviving their parents and for taking good care of her during her life time.
At the interment , the priests coordinated the rite of commital as Engr. Philip Adeolu and his other siblings bade their mother a permanent farewell.
Reception and entertainment of guests followed at Christal Palace event center along Igbokoda Road, Okitipupa, where guests thronged the venue to celebrate the life and time of Mama Mofeola Philip as Yemi Yobo and his music band was on ground , supplying high life music to sizzle up the event.
Engr. Philip Adeolu, DSP Ogunbamerun and others who were on thepolity shot for an exclusive chat described Mama Philip as a rare woman of virtue and substance who will be missed by all.
Iya Ijo Mofeola Philip was born on 2nd of September, 1945 into the family of Late PA Clement Ekuraju of Okerugbo quarters, Ode Erinje and Late Madam Omopelumi Clement of Famurewa Family in Igodan Lisa, Okitipupa local government.
In her life time, she was involved catering business , sales of provisions among others.
She was a devoted member of Holy Cross C and S , Lebi Okitipupa, where she worshipped until her death. She was survived by Children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
