Authorities in Osun State have launched a manhunt for two suspects declared wanted in connection with the killing of a senior officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps and her young daughter.

The Nigeria Police Force in the state said the suspects — Adumati Idowu and Faturoti Kehinde — are being sought over the deaths of 38-year-old Mrs. Funmilayo Lasisi and her 10-year-old daughter, Sewa Lasisi.
Police spokesperson Abiodun Ojelabi disclosed the development on Friday in Osogbo, explaining that investigators believe the two men may have critical links to the crime currently under investigation.

According to the statement, both suspects are Nigerian nationals from Ijurin-Ekiti in Ekiti State, and authorities have circulated their descriptions to aid identification and possible arrest.

Police described Idowu as about 38 years old, dark-complexioned and approximately 1.7 metres tall, while Kehinde, also known as “Fagorite,” is about 36 years old and shares similar physical features.

The command said declaring the pair wanted is part of ongoing efforts to track down those responsible and ensure accountability for the deaths of the road safety officer and her daughter.

Investigators are urging members of the public with information about the suspects’ whereabouts to contact the police, assuring that useful tips could attract a reward as the search continues.
