Amb. Jimoh Ibrahim resumes at UN, says insecurity in Nigeria is being addressed

The United Nations,UN Secretary- General, Antonio Guterres has received the Nigerian Ambassador and Head of Mission of Nigeria to The United Nations, Dr.Jimoh Folorunsho Ibrahim, CFR.
It will be recalled that President Bola Tinubu appointed Senator Jimoh Ibrahim ,CFR from the Senate of The Federal Republic of Nigeria and posted him to The United Nations as Ambassador penitentiary, Head of Nigerian mission to The UN .
The ceremony which held on Monday at The UN Headquarters in New York, United States marked the official resumption to duty of Amb.Jimoh Ibrahim to UN on behalf of Nigeria as Permanent Representative.
Donning a brand Nigeria native attire with the full imprint of Green Color showcasing the hallmark Nigerian identity, Dr.Ibrahim was seen having a flagship session with the UN Sec-Gen, Guitteres, who showed
warmth at receiving the Nigerian Diplomat.
At the presentation of his letter of credence, the former Senator representing Ondo South noted that Nigerian Government is addressing the matter of insecurity and rather than engaging in mere cosmetic panacea, President Tinubu led administration is seeing to how to resolve all long-standing grievance across Nigeria in his bid to ensure a one -solution- fit- all approach to putting an end to insecurity in the country.
Dr.Ibrahim assured the United Nations of Nigeria’s support for reforms within the UN geared towards global peace, calling for greater representation of Africa in global decision making.
Highlighting the commitment of President Tinubu to the economic growth of Nigeria, Dr.Ibrahim said social investments in infrastructure as regards road construction and power are parts of government effort in addressing economic and structural balance in Nigeria. He assured the global peace body of the support of Nigeria in the area of climate change, conflict resolution among other global challenges.
