Burial programme begins for Late Pa. Fafoluyi as Christian wake, night of tribute holds in Erinje

The Fafoluyi clan of ancient Ebiekuraju Dynasty of Erinje Kingdom in Okitipupa Local Government has commenced the celebration of life of their patriarch, Late Pa. Nathaniel Olaosetenikan Fafoluyi.
The remains of Pa. Fafoluyi, on Thursday, 30th April, 2026 was taken from the morgue in Okitipupa to his house at Adeniran Street, along Ikoya Road , in a farewell gesture en route his Erinje country home.
Family and friends welcomed the massive entourage who had come with Baba’s remains to Erinje Kingdom with drum and dance, celebrating a true son of the soil and a solid community pillar who lived to the ripe age of 92.
Methodist Church Nigeria, Erinje coordinated a well attended Wake keep and service of songs in honour of Pa. Nathaniel Fafoluyi at his residence, Okerugbo Quarters in the town.
In his sermon, the Vicar, Methodist Church , Erinje noted that Pa. Fafoluyi lived his life well and availed his time for God, admonishing the congregation to find the need to work God’s path in their life time. He said while we are alive we should draw our attention to the things of God no matter the everyday challenges or allure of life.
In the course of giving tributes at the Wake Keep, speaker after speaker described the deceased as a prominent person who spent his hey days contributing to communal growth and development.
Mr. Smart Okunade who spoke on behalf of Success Secondary School, Okitipupa noted that Pa. Fafoluyi was a father , a counsellor and a peace maker whose words of advice and encouragement had always come in handy at the formative stage of the school coowned by the duo of ‘edupreneurs’, Messrs. Adelokiki and Okunade. He said the duo would always reach to him because of his frank counsel and his role model nature, stressing that he was an elder who always wanted the young ones to grow, thrive and prosper.
Speaking with thepolity. net, Apesin Oyeyemi Fafoluyi described his father as a thorough bred disciplinarian who nurtured he and his siblings with prayers and firmness, noting that even at the age his father died, he still wished he was still around.
Funeral service , interment and reception of guests will hold at Erinje on Friday morning.
