Dayo Faduyile to Nigerian workers: the nation appreciates you

By Steve Ovirih.

Prof. Dayo Faduyile,OON, a prominent All Progressives Congress, APC Stakeholder from Ondo South has congratulated Nigerian workers on the unique occasion of Workers Day Celebration, 2026.

Prof. Faduyile in an officially endorsed congratulatory message appreciated the steadfast commitment of the Nigerian workers to the economic growth of the nation state while describing them as the pillar of sustainable economic growth of Nigeria.

Prof. Faduyile noted that a deliberate and intentional government will support the demands of workers towards fast tracking national development and that exactly is what the Federal Government has been doing since the emergence of President Bola Tinubu and that is more reason there has not been recurrence of labour actions and services seizure by the labour force.

Prof. Faduyile also congratulated the President Bola Tinubu led Federal Government for always giving listening ears to labour demands, adding that since the President has assumed duty, the stake for mutual collaboration has improved between Labour and Federal Government.

As a labour leader himself, who has led the Nigeria Medical Association , NMA both in Lagos State and at the national level, Prof. Faduyile said he is an ardent advocate of negotiation and round table deliberations to resolve Government / Labour issues hence his support for the mutual relationship between the Nigerian workforce and government even as he maintained that this will sustain a balanced economic development and enhance confidence in the mind of foreign investors.

The Professor of Pathology and Forensic Medicine advised workers however to take their health seriously and take their time to always visit the hospital for regular medical checks and not to wait until their health takes a worst turn before seeking medical attention, stressing that it takes a healthy workforce to drive economic development.

He specifically charged members of Nigerian workers union to be intentional about issues of cardiovascular concern and should make effort to keep tab on the condition of their blood pressure, noting that lately Nigerians are becoming indifferent about such important health indicators.

He noted that Nigeria, its government and people appreciate Nigeria Labour Congress,NLC and all the affiliate unions for their cohesive efforts towards making Nigeria an economically buoyant country.
