Tamarauemi Ebimini

The Middlebelt Patriotic Forum has asked the All Progressives Congress(APC) to zone the Senate Presidency to the Southeast.

The group said this will ensure equity and fairness to the region.

Convener of the group, Ogbaji Oloko, urged the party to consider Senator Osita Izunaso for the senate president in the 10th National Assembly.

He said: “The forum agreed that the Senate presidency should be zone to Southeasten.

“The forum also demanded that after zoning of the Senate Presidency to the Southeast of Nigeria, then the Senate Presidency should be microzoneD to Imo State. The forum, after due diligence and consultation, singled out Senator Osita Izunaso.

“Senator Osita is highly experienced and eminently qualified for the job and as such the Forum is calling all other aspirants vying for the same position to consider stepping down for him for the purpose of oneness, equity, fairness and justice this is in line with the party mantra.”
