Faduyile, 3 other Senators take oath of office at Senate

The Ondo South Senator, Prof. Francis Adedayo Faduyile, OON has been sworn in as Senator of The Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He was sworn in alongside three other senators:Olaka Nwogu, PDP, Rivers South East, Envulu Anza, APC, Nasarawa North, and Ikeje Asogwu, APC Enugu North, by President of The Senate, Godswill Akpabio on Wednesday morning.
The Senators won their Senatorial Districts by-election on Saturday, June 20th,2026.
After the swearing in and taking of the oath of membership of the Senate, they officially resumed sitting in the Senate.
It will be recalled that the four new Senators received their Certificate of Return on Tuesday at the Independent National Electoral Commission’s Headquarters , Abuja.
Ondo South Senator, Prof. Faduyile replaced Amb.(Sen.) Jimoh Ibrahim, CFR, following his appointment as Head of Nigeria’s Mission to The United Nations(UN).
Faduyile, who had earlier spoken with newsmen on Tuesday having collected his Certificate of Return, dedicated his victory to Ondo State Governor,Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and the good people of Ondo South, promising quality legislation for the greater good of the district.
